I found a montage video of clips of Disney princess films, made by a media studies Doctor in Cardiff University. I made a similar video in 10th grade and presented it to my English class.
Also I find it interesting that regardless of the out of date views that are projected in Disney's princess films, Disney continues to create modern live action versions of these princess movies to distribute. The most recent project soon to be released is Beauty in the Beast. Ironically, Belle is played by Emma Watson, who is a strong advocate of feminist rights. Although, I will say that of all the princess movies, Beauty and the Beast is the least oppressive to the female, in that Belle is smart and beautiful while also being brave.
Have you seen the new Disney remix that has the Disney princes looking for reproductive healthcare? It's an interesting use of their images.
